LOST

HOME

by Mathew Cheung

I sometimes wonder if it's worth it
Living in a world less perfect,
In a world so diabolical,
It's almost catastrophical.

Everywhere I turn I see demons
Asking if I want to be with them.
I turn around to find salvation
Only to be lost in confusion.

My dreams are my only ray of hope
But it seems to dissolve like soap-on-a-rope.
In the morning, at the break of dawn
What I dreamt will then be gone.

Searching for a fixed point in the sky
But even stars fall from heaven and die.
Left and lost in some catastrophe
Shadows rise up, surrounding me.
